Color schemes are important in design because different colors together look more visually appealing than other combinations. This post is going to go over the basic color schemes that are commonly used in design.
First, we want to start with a color wheel. I am going to use the CMYK color wheel.
From the top down, in a clockwise direction the colors are Yellow, Yellow-Green, Green, Turquoise, Cyan, Cobalt Blue, Blue-Violet, Red-Violet, Magenta, Red, Red-Orange, and Orange.
